VP of Dream Academy

The Future Project believes that following one’s dreams is a worthy pursuit and - in partnership with some of the most visionary leaders in America - has become one of the fastest growing national education movements since Teach For America.  We place “Dream Directors” in high schools who enable a team of student leaders to design and execute projects ranging from new business ventures to mobilizing their peers to insist on new classes.  In just four years, our Dream Directors have helped more than 25,000 students put their dreams into action; now we’re looking for a VP of Dream Academy who’ll create the possibility for The Future Project to lead a passion and purpose movement that reaches millions.

The Future project is looking for a world-class leadership developer to help us find, cultivate, and structure formal and informal learning experiences that develop the our ever-growing cadre of Dream Directors.

Our VP of Dream Academy will:

  • Create scalable architecture for a Dream Academy that enables powerful screening, training, placing, launching, and supporting Chief Dream Directors and Dream Directors to be their most effective in delivering our program.
  • Creation of specific, essential, learning experiences that can be created from our experience, insights, and research to make Dream Directors the most effective coaches on the planet, and which link back to our Dream Directing competency and learning experience map.
  • Creation of the training capacity within the architecture, i.e., how do we create, over time trainers, specialist, etc., that are the best in the world for our Academy, to meet our scale, and develop what this talent map looks like over time to meet scale.

Under your leadership, we’ll grow from fifty Dream Directors to thousands and - in the process - you’ll make an indelible mark on the art and science of dream directing and, we hope, on the future of education itself. This position reports to the Executive Vice President of The Future Project and work closely with its COO, its executive team, and senior advisors.
