Product Manager, Training

About The Future Project
The Future Project exists so that every young person on the planet can build a life and world they love. To bring this vision to life, our passionate team came together, in partnership with some of the most visionary educators, leaders, and young people in America. Together we built an innovative service for schools, a diverse national community, and what has become one of the fastest-growing non-profit (or, as we like to say, for-people) education organizations in the country.

Over the past five years, we invented a new role in schools—a transformational leader and coach called a Dream Director, who works with principals, staff, and, above all, students to dream up and build “Future Projects” that transform school culture while building critical mindsets and skillsets in students. Our Dream Directors now serve more than 35,000 students across a dozen communities from coast to coast.

This past year, we created a new national training team in service of providing world-class, year-round training and curricula for our Dream Directors from coast to coast.  We are searching for a Director of Dream Academy, to collaborate with our VP of Dream Academy and our team of Dream Directors to design, develop, and execute training modules to support our ongoing work in schools.

About the Role
The Dream Academy team is responsible for the design and development of the mastery-based curriculum, pedagogy, learning experiences, and systems that most powerfully enable our students to thrive in their lives, and equip the Dream Directors to do their work with the highest effectiveness and in alignment with our student outcomes.

The Director of Dream Academy is accountable for project managing the design, development, and delivery of training for our Dream Directors across the country. Reporting to the VP of Dream Academy, this individual will collaborate with our DDs to design end-to-end, online and offline training experiences and curricular tools, including a 3-4 week summer Dream Academy experience.  This individual will lead the expansion of Dream Academy from a year-long experience for 45+ Dream Directors, to a scaleable toolkit of trainings and products to empower principals, teachers, and other school leaders in any U.S. high school to unleash the passion, purpose, and possibility of young people within.

The Director of Dream Academy is an obsessive learner, eager to absorb information and insights from a dynamic and growing team to build the highest-quality solution. They are spreadsheet masterminds and brilliant project managers who are addicted to process but approach it with flexibility and compassion.  They approach problems with insatiable curiosity and ask thousands of questions to derive an answer.  They are expert trainers, voraciously dedicated to advancing the success of individuals and teams.

The Director of Dream Academy’s core accountabilities will include:

  • Building and managing assessment tools to measure and evaluate the learning outcomes of Dream Directors and other Dream Academy participants
  • Supporting short- and long-term strategy for the design, development, and branding of a new line of training products and tools to serve school leaders across the country
  • Leading internal research projects with the Research and Evaluation team to identify, source and apply best practices for curriculum design and delivery.
  • Day-to-Day Project Management of the curriculum design process (with the Curriculum Designer), scheduling and co-facilitating (with the VP, Dream Academy) design sprints, coordinating in-person learning experiences and delivery.
  • Collaboration with Dream Directors and Chief Dream Directors to coordinate summer training and year-long training programs  and alignment touchpoints in each of TFP’s 11 regions
  • Close collaboration with the VP, Dream Academy, to set the agenda for each fiscal year, and to revisit and improve upon that agenda quarterly
  • Daily administration of online learning management system
